Watford have been the busiest Premier League club so far this summer, bringing in ten new players. This upheaval is not new to the club which had four managers last season. Goals shouldn’t be a problem for the Hornets, who boast two strikers, Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo, who scored over 20 goals last season, whilst Matej Vydra netted 16 times. The defence has been Watford’s priority, with five new additions, as well as defensive midfielder Etienne Capoue. Promising attackers Troy Deeney and Sean Murray will look to see if they can step up to Premier League standard, whilst goalkeeper Gomes and striker Vydra will want to improve on their last top flight endeavours. Watford will probably struggle for points early on, but face a kind run in, so could be able to climb out of the relegation zone should they still be in touch.
Key Player: Troy Deeney
